My name is Lise Moody, my family and I moved from Nelson to live in the lovely Waiheke Island in January this year. I have travelled and lived overseas for many years and came back to NZ in the 90s with my British husband. We married in Twickenham UK, but due to feeling homesick for our lovely outdoor lifestyle and the people here in New Zealand, we both came back to live where we have been very settled for 22 years.
My father was born in Zimbabwe, I have a Kiwi mother and small amount of Ngai Tahu heritage. I have a 19 year old son and two daughters aged 18 and 12, plus my husband Steve and our dog Bilbo Baggins.
My clinical background is more than 20 years in secondary services, Acute Adult Mental Health and Child and Adolescent services. I have specialised in Brief Intervention counselling with a passion for workplace wellness. I apply and am trained in all different counselling models, specifically CBT/EFT and the ACT Models. Clinical registration is with NZNC (Registered Comprehensive Nurse, Dip) now a Provisional Counsellor working towards full membership this year NZAC. (NZ association of Counsellors)
Hobbies include all outdoor sports (I'm a rugby and netball fanatic), tramping, fishing, travel, F45 classes when I can get there, comedy and films. I am also getting two children’s books published, ‘Naughty Nellie and Boring Bilbo (The Great Escape)’ about two dogs, the other, ‘The Cat that ate Baked Beans’. I love being creative through writing.
